OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS TO THE THAMMASAT UNIVERSITY LIBRARY NETWORK

As Thammasat University students know, the TU Library network is accessible to the entire TU community from off-campus. Readers may search online databases and find other resources by using two options:

LOGGING ON BY EZPROXY

Readers can access online databases from off-campus by logging on to EZProxy with username and password.

LOGGING ON BY SETTING PROXY ON A WEB BROWSER

Setting proxy on web browser allows readers to use the TU Libraries network on campus.

LOGGING ON BY SETTING MOBILE NETWORK ON MOBILE (ANDROID)

Setting mobile network allows TU Libraries readers to search the library catalog on mobile phones.

How to use the TU Library’s e-resources from anywhere:

When you’re off-campus, start your search at https://library.tu.ac.th for full access to all databases, online journals, article texts, and other resources requiring a Thammsat University subscription.

How to get book chapters or articles

Book chapters or journal articles from print materials not held at the TU Libraries can be scanned and sent online, at no cost, through the TU Library Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.

To facilitate the exchange of informational resources, the library provides an interlibrary loan service, between both domestic and foreign libraries. Patrons can use this service to request original resources or duplications of materials.

Contact a librarian or library staff at tulib@tu.ac.th or call 66 2564 4440-59 ext. 1305.

Fill in the form for requesting an interlibrary loan service.

Submit the form to the librarian or library staff for processing.

REQUEST ORIGINAL RESOURCES

Users may request up to 3 items at a time.

Period of loan for requested materials depends on the policies of the institution holding the materials.

Please allow 7 working days for processing the request.

REQUESTING DUPLICATES OR DIGITAL COPIES

Users are responsible for the costs incurred using this method, such as cost of copying, postage, etc.

The service charge for a digital copy is 100 baht/item.

Please allow 3 working days for processing.

TU-THAI-PUL

TU-THAIPUL is an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service under a resource sharing agreement between Thammasat University Libraries, Rangsit University Library, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Library, Dhurakij Pundit University Library, Bangkok University Library, Siam University, Sripatum University and Navamindradhiraj University Library

Authorised members : Students, Faculty and staff of the member libraries.

How to request : Search for resources and send a request via EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS).

Resources : Printed materials and electronic resources, e.g. books, journal articles, theses, research under appropriated rights and permissions.

No. of items: 3 items

No. of days: 21 days

Processing period: within 7 days after receiving request.

Delivery motho : Printed materials via postal service. Electonic files via e-mail.

WORLDSHARE ILL

WorldShare ILL is an Inter-Library Loan service which allows members to request for books from 10,161 libraries all over the world.

To use the service, just go to http://library.tu.ac.th, add search term(s) in “WorldCat & WorldShare ILL” seach box. If your required resource is available at other libraries, “WorldCat Libraries” will appear on the screen. Please follow the following instructions to make a request.

Select a required item and click “Request Item through Interlibrary Loan”.

Enter additional information such as Student ID, Firstname, Lastname, Phone number, E-mail, and comments and submit the form.

Members can track the status of request by following the instructions below:

go to http://library.tu.ac.th

Click “Services”

Click “Book Delivery / ILL Tracking Service”

Enter Student ID or Library ID in the box.

When the request item is ready, a Library staff will send you the digital file via e-mail, or inform how to receive the printed material.

TU-PULINET

TU-PULINET is an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service under a resource sharing agreement between Thammasat University Libraries, Kasetsart University, Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Silpakorn University, Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Maejo University, Khon Kaen University, Mahasarakham University, Mae Fah Luang University , Naresuan University, Prince of Songkla University, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Phanom University, Ubon Ratchathani University, Walailak University, Thaksin University, Princess of Naradhiwas University and University of Phayao

How to get Instructional Help

Librarians are availablethrough email to advise student research projects.  We also work with ajarns to integrate library research into online classes, helping them think through redesigning research assignments for the online context, and discussing what approaches will work best for specific classes.
